• All carbon roller chain is nickel-plated. Use only chain and connecting links purchased from Mathey Dearman.

• Three (3) different sizes of roller chain are used in the Mathey Dearman single and double jackscrew, universal and Dearman light chain clamps to insure the maximum amount of safety is provided for the welder. The roller chain is available in stainless steel and carbon steel.

How to determine length of chain to extend the range of a chain clamp:
Step 1: Customer has D249 [range: 4"-16" (102mm-405mm)]
Length of chain is: 60" / 1524mm

Step 2: Multiply the diameter of the pipe that you wish
to align by 3.1416

Step 3: Subtract the length of chain noted on the D249 clamp used in Step 2.

Step 4: Round up the amount of chain needed to the next whole foot.

NOTE: A connecting link is needed to join chain ends together. A jackbar should be added for each foot of chain added to the chain clamp.

WARNING:

The reforming capability of the chain clamp can be severely affected if the range of the chain is extended beyond the working range. Mathey Dearman will NOT WARRANTY OR ACCEPT LIABILITY for any clamp that is extended beyond the normal operating range of the clamp.
Use only chain purchased from Mathey Dearman as some manufacturers' roller chain can not be used with the Mathey Dearman chain clamp.
Use of chain not supplied by Mathey Dearman will void the warranty of the clamp.
