The Italian firm, formerly
CIA Italiana, is located near Milan, Italy.
C.I.A. Mathey Italiana,
now an affiliate of Mathey Dearman, will continue to
manufacture electrode-drying ovens and pipe cutting and
beveling machines, as well as sell Mathey Dearman’s product
line of pipe cutters, bevelers, and other pipefitting tools
and accessories. Mathey Dearman will also sell the
Italian-built ovens, pipe cutters, and bevelers in the U.S.
market.
The ovens built by C.I.A
Mathey Italiana perform an essential task in the welding
process by preventing moisture and humidity from adversely
affecting the weld.
"We are excited about the
new team we have created representing both sides of the
Atlantic," said Mathey Dearman President Don
Lockhart. "The products and customer base complemented
each company’s lines, and we believe the match will be
beneficial for the profitability of both sides."
